Green Fairs in 2010

This Sunday the Hampshire Green fair takes place at the Sustainability Centre near Clanfield.
Activities include Seeds swap, childrens activities, traditional and rural skills, renewable technology and green shopping.

Date: Sunday 9th May 2010
Time: 10am - 5pm
Location: Sustainability Centre, near Clanfield.

Later in the year (Sat 17th July) PCAN is organising the Portsmouth Green Fair, I think it will be at the Guildhall Square, like last year, although i'm not sure. It is expanding this year to include Portsmouth Green Week (10 - 18th July). 'The News' will apparently have a special supplement during the week, so all in all it looks like a bigger event.
More details at the PCAN web site.

I had a great day at the fair, did anyone else go? The only let down was the cycling race going on. I cycled to the centre myself but it got very dangerous with racing cyclists pedestrians and cars everywhere I ended up walking the last quater mile. Still I got some nice goats cheese, cider and seeds to plant!

I've been cycling out that way before. I don't know what it is about that area, but you get a lot of cycling enthusiasts out there at the weekends, in their lycra and racing bikes.

About two years ago I cycled out to the centre for a conference, I took the hilliest route which was a mistake, but very scenic. On the map is was the most direct, but the map didn't show all the ups and downs.

Hi Danners,

No i didn't go.
I have a problem with my knee at the moment, which I need to see the doctor about!

The centre is an interesting place to visit though.
